No. Your 14-day free trial starts immediately — no credit card required. You'll only be asked for payment details when you choose to upgrade at the end of your trial.

Can I change plans later?

Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from your account settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the start of the next billing cycle.

What counts as a protected asset?

Accepted Answer

A protected asset is anything that produces an independent backup or health status — a server agent, a Veeam backup server, a SQL Server instance or a NAS device. Individual backup jobs, SQL databases, and website uptime, SSL and domain checks do not count against your protected-asset limit.

What happens if I reach my protected-asset limit?

We'll notify you as you approach your limit. You won't lose any data — we'll prompt you to upgrade before you can add more assets. Clients are unlimited on every plan, so you only ever scale on the assets you actually protect.

Question 5

Is there a discount for annual billing?

Accepted Answer

Yes — choose annual billing and get two months free on every plan (you pay for ten months, not twelve). The discount is applied automatically when you select the Annual option at checkout.

Do you offer discounts for MSPs or non-profits?

Accepted Answer

We offer volume pricing for MSPs managing large numbers of clients, and special rates for registered non-profits and educational institutions. Contact our sales team to discuss your situation.

BackupSentinel is hosted on AWS infrastructure across multiple regions. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can choose between US, EU, and APAC regions at account setup.
