One configured job is one job you set up to watch one backup task, not each run, report email, device or client. A Veeam job protecting 20 VMs is one job.

Questions people ask before starting.
Do I need a credit card to start the free trial?
No. The 14-day trial starts without a card, with up to 25 backup jobs. Nothing is charged automatically: there is no card on file. If you don't choose a plan by the end of the trial, monitoring pauses. Your clients, jobs and settings stay, and choosing a plan resumes monitoring.
Does BackupSentinel store my backups?
No. BackupSentinel monitors backups; it never runs them or stores the backed-up data. It reads the result reports your backup software already sends, and keeps that monitoring evidence (report emails, alerts and history) for your plan's retention period. Your backups stay wherever your backup software keeps them.
What counts as a backup job?
A backup job is one job you set up in BackupSentinel to watch one backup task. You pay for configured jobs, not for runs: a Veeam backup job that protects 20 VMs and reports after every session is one job, however often it runs. Report emails, alerts, devices, clients and team members are never counted. Reports that don't match a job wait in the Inbox without using one until you start monitoring them. A job keeps counting while it exists (also under a paused client); delete it to free its place.
What happens if I reach my backup-job limit?
At 80% of your allowance the app tells you. At the limit nothing stops: every existing job keeps being monitored and alerting, and nothing is paused or deleted. Only adding another job is blocked until you upgrade or remove a job you no longer need. Upgrade in Settings › Billing; it applies immediately and Stripe charges the prorated difference.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, from Settings › Billing. An upgrade applies immediately and Stripe charges the prorated difference. A downgrade applies at your next renewal, so you keep what you paid for until then. Yearly plans stay yearly; monthly plans can move to yearly at any time.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing is paid once a year: Starter €290 a year (€24.17/month), Growth €990 a year (€82.50/month), Pro €2,490 a year (€207.50/month). That is 2 months free on every plan: you pay for ten months, not twelve. Choose Annual on this page or in Billing.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Prices exclude VAT. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout from your billing address and, for businesses, your VAT number.
