Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BackupSentinel. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation.

BackupSentinel monitors backup-notification emails, detects failures, sends alerts, and generates reports. We may update, improve, or change features over time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.

You agree not to misuse the service: do not attempt to disrupt or compromise it, access data that is not yours, reverse engineer it, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account settings; changes take effect according to your billing cycle.

You retain ownership of the data you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service for you. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BackupSentinel is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed alerts, service interruptions, or third-party systems. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or where required to protect the service or other users. On termination, your right to use the service ends; certain provisions survive by their nature.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through the service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
