Every client's backups, in the order that matters.
An MSP answers for dozens of clients, several backup products and a different schedule on every server. BackupSentinel puts all of it in one list each morning, problems first, and keeps the history your clients ask about.
One list in the morning, across every client.
Needs attention lists every failed, missing and warning backup across all clients, ordered so the worst comes first. A technician acknowledges what they take, snoozes what can wait, and resolves with a note that shows up the next time the same backup fails.
Missing reports count as much as failures. A server that stopped sending anything turns Missing inside a window that scales with how often it runs, instead of looking like a quiet night.
- Across clients
- Group by client, filter by client, or work the whole list with the keyboard.
- Who has it
- Assign a problem to a teammate; acknowledgements show who took it and when.
- On the wall
- TV mode shows the same list on the office screen, refreshed every 10 minutes.
Onboarding a client takes one address.
Each client gets its own email address. Point that client’s backup software at it and the reports sort themselves: nothing to install, no access to their servers.
- Add the client. It gets a client address straight away.
- In each backup product, send the report emails to that address. A setup guide covers each of the ten products read out of the box.
- The first report appears in the Inbox or on the backup it matches. Start monitoring from the email, and set how often the job runs.
- From then on, every report updates the job, and a report that does not arrive turns it Missing.
What you show the client.
Each client has an SLA target, Standard 99.0, Gold 99.5, Platinum 99.9 or your own, and the month so far against it. The monthly client report gives the success rate, missing reports, incidents and median time to recover, with warnings never counted as successes.
Share it as a read-only link that expires after 7, 30 or 90 days, or export it as CSV. Pause a client during a migration and nothing alerts until it resumes.
Priced by backup job, not by client.
Plans differ in how many backup jobs they include and how long the history is kept. Clients, devices and team seats are unlimited on every plan, so adding a small client never costs a seat or a client fee.

Point its report email at the client address you get on sign-up. Within a day you will know whether it reported.
