Show each client what their backups did last month.
Pick a client and a month and the Reports page builds the report: how many reports arrived, how many failed or never came, what went wrong and how long it took to fix. Every figure says how it is counted.
Every figure on the client report, and how it is counted.
The report covers one client and one calendar month in the workspace timezone. The current month can be built too; it is marked as in progress, with the figures so far.
- Success rate
- OK reports divided by all reports received. A warning is not a success. Shown against the client’s SLA target.
- Reports received
- Every result that arrived, split into OK, warning and failed.
- Failed reports
- Reports that said the backup failed.
- Missing reports
- Expected reports that never arrived in time.
- Incidents
- Every alert that was open during the month, with the median recovery time of the ones resolved in it.
- Open now
- Incidents that are still unresolved.
Below the figures, a table lists each backup with its reports, failures, missing reports, success rate and last result, and a second table lists the incidents with when each opened and closed.
How every client stands right now.
Backup health now opens the Reports page: each client’s backups by their latest status, with a health percentage beside the client’s SLA target. Tabs narrow it to All clients, With problems or Below SLA target.
Export health summary downloads the table as CSV and keeps a copy in Saved reports.
- Health %
- Healthy backups divided by rated backups. Waiting and Paused backups are not rated; with none rated there is no percentage rather than 100%.
- Problems
- Backups whose latest status is Failed, Missing or Warning.
- SLA target
- Standard 99.0, Gold 99.5, Platinum 99.9, or a target of your own per client.
The health summary, emailed on a schedule.
A scheduled report emails the health summary as a CSV attachment to any addresses you list, at 06:00 workspace time, and keeps a copy in Saved reports.
Monthly and quarterly count days, not calendar months. The attachment is a snapshot named like sla-summary-2026-10-01.csv.
| Schedule | Sent |
|---|---|
| Daily | Every day at 06:00 |
| Weekly | 06:00, at least 7 days after the last one |
| Monthly | 06:00, at least 28 days after the last one |
| Quarterly | 06:00, at least 84 days after the last one |
Send the client a link instead of a file.
A share link opens one client’s report for one month, read-only, without signing in. The page says “Read-only · link valid until” and the date, and search engines are told not to index it.
- Valid for
- 7, 30 or 90 days, and can be revoked before then.
- Views
- Each link records how often it was opened, and when last.
- Who
- Owners, admins and members create and revoke links. Both are recorded in the activity log.
Take the data with you.
- CSV
- The jobs list, Needs attention, the health summary and the client report each download as CSV.
- Saved reports
- A saved report downloads again exactly as it was built, not recomputed from today’s data.
- Who can build one
- Anyone in the workspace, viewers included. Saving one takes an owner, admin or member.
- JSON export
- In Settings, owners and admins export clients, backup jobs (without passwords), alerts, email metadata and client contacts.
What it does not do.
- There are no PDF reports. Reports are on screen, behind a share link, or CSV.
- The monthly client report cannot be scheduled. Scheduled emails carry the health summary.
- How far back a report can go follows your plan’s history. See Pricing.
- There is no white-label option.
- Suspended or cancelled workspaces get no scheduled reports.
Send your first client report this month.
Point a client's backups at BackupSentinel and its report fills in as the results arrive.
